bed and not the medieval four-poster portrayed in the book. My publisher
felt the French bed better depicted the book's light and sexy tone
and I agree.
The bed in the book is a very real medieval four-poster inspired by
one I once saw in England's Warwick Castle. Since the writing of the
book, I saw a similar bed at Crathes Castle near Banchory in Royal
Deeside, Scotland's northeast. www.castles.org/Chatelaine/CRATHES.HTM The
Crathes Castle bed was even more magnificent, very much as I envisioned
Alex's bed. Sadly, no photos were allowed but anyone who might chance
to visit Crathes will surely appreciate its stunning medieval "Laird's
bed." Since Alex is already taken, perhaps one of Crathes Castle's
sexy medieval Burnett lairds will appear to greet you!
Scotland is the passion behind every word I write, the whole of
my inspiration. This glimpse of Glencoe on a misty June day is a fine
example of the heart-stopping beauty of the Highlands, an enchanted
place where time can seem to stand still and where it's very easy to
believe in magic.
